Hi Gregor! Iβm not sure if this is happening on other peoples accounts, but Iβm getting these pop up advertisements that are fairly annoying. Is there anyway to change this? Thanks :)
Same here. It covers the content
Yeah! Itβs always at the top of each page and sometimes it takes over the whole page.
Same here!
+1 - but if the ad is here for revenue generation, all good mate. You guys are paying for FOI every month, and might be paying for the host server and domain.
It takes a lot of resources to run SmartVisaGuide each month: dev salary, server/domain costs, data entry etc. This is 99% of the cost. FOI is less than 1% of the cost ($60 a month) and it's (us + community funded).
So instead of choosing to ask users to pay, we have chosen ads to cover some of the costs. This way the platform remains free to use for users.
I have asked our developer to allow a donation model, for users who want a pay a donation to help us cover costs. This will turn off the ads.
Oh i see. If its yours then all good mate! Additional earnings for all your efforts in helping us.
@gregormendel that makes sense. Just glad itβs not spam, thanks!

All good :)
@gregormendel what is FOI data? What does _P mean? Lodged_P for example?
Freedom of Information request _P means primary applicants only One EOI = One Primary applicant, but an EOI can have one or more secondary applicants too. https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/access-and-accountability/freedom-of-information
