Our immi account said 'received' from the day we lodged until the day it was granted - form 80 was submitted at lodgement to ward off potential s56 request - we submitted nomination application and visa lodgement with as much evidence as we had, more than they strictly needed, to prevent delays/ s56 request - we received a 189 invitation on 4th June, 2.5 weeks after we lodged our 190 application. I was gutted as 189s are granted quicker on average. But our GP friends who lodged for 189 from the same 4th June invitation round got their 189 grant only 9 days earlier than our 190 grant. So at least for GPs, there doesn't seem to be much of a time difference between the 2 visas! - just an FYI: you can apply for interim Medicare (which covers you the same as general Medicare) as soon as you've lodged your 190, you don't have to wait for a grant!
