πΈ Do I need new EOIs and ROIs for FY2025-26? We will update this as information is released. Check which state need ROI here and view FY2024-25 requirements here. - ACT: Existing ROI and EOI is okay. - NSW: To be updated - NT: To be updated - QLD: Existing EOI is okay but new ROI is required. - SA: Based on update on 3 September 2025 above, it seems existing (from previous FY) EOIs and ROIs will be processed. - TAS: To be updated - VIC: To be updated - WA: Existing EOI is okay. Note: EOIs expire after 2 years.
πΈ I have a preinvite from last FY, when will I receive full invite? Most states will gradually open over the July-Sep period, but usually states start issuing full invites to preinvites carried over from previous FY, as early as July.
πΈ When did the states open last FY? - ACT: opened on 16 July 2024 - NSW: opened on 10 October 2024 - NT: opened on 22 July 2024, but quickly closed for OFFSHORE priority stream applicants due to an influx of large number of applicants. - QLD: opened on 13 September 2024 - SA: opened on 15 August 2024, although we saw some preinvites being selectively sent even before this official opening date. - TAS: opened on 1 August 2024, although we saw some preinvites being selectively sent as early as 04 July 2024 - VIC: opened on 14 August 2024 - WA: opened on 19 July 2024
πΈ When did the first round take place last FY? - ACT: 08 August 2024 - NSW: 10 October 2024 - NT: Earliest onshore invites seen on 02 August 2024 - QLD: Earliest invites seen on 02 October 2024 - SA: Earliest invites seen on 13 August 2024 - TAS: Earliest invites seen on 04 July 2024 - VIC: 27 August 2024 - WA: 15 August 2024

@gregormendel - we have not seen any official announcements from the QLD regarding the FY25-26 program. May I ask what your source is? And is this new hope for VIC reopening theirs soon?
08 Sep WA announced receiving interim allocations.
thanks
My EOIs for SA and WA were launched in Sep 24, but since i have updated points in Aug 25, will my EOIs are still considered existing EOIs as my date of effect has been changed due to change of numbers.
depends on state/subclass, see here
I have gut feelings that Today or tomorrow Something will be updated by DOHA Either Migration plan or 189 invitation? Something will be there
They updated migration page both today and yesterday. But it seems there is no actual information changed on that.
Does the grant of 189 will start at July 1st?
hopefully sometime in first week or two.
YES
Are we about to see the Grattan version of points-based system next year? I hate this, really. Basically your PY and regional ties will mean nothing.
at this stage, no one knows.
@all Around the end of current FY, and the beginning of new FY, many applicants have a set of commonly asked questions. This FY, I plan to collect all useful info, with links etc., in this thread. This post will serve as a gateway to 189/190/491 requirements for coming FY.
Thank you @gregormendel sir!
there was a webinar by QLD today, it will reflect on QLD website in coming days
that is great news! Will VIC follow suit soon too?
My assumption is that if these are full state allocations youβre talking about for QLD, that means Canberra has released state allocations for all other states no?
yes, all states should have the allocations by now. Now up to them when they want to open.
