If i get my 491 granted, then later on 189 granted will 189 override the 491 visa? Have seen different opinions about this if anyone can explain would be great.

Yes 189 will override, but its probably best to withdraw 491 now, and just wait for 189.

Thanks for your reply. But why withdraw now as i can enter australia sooner?
189 is a PR visa while 491 isn't. With 491 you cannot work in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Why did you apply for 491 when you got invited for 189?. Waste of money in my opinion but if you are willing to spend on both then its your choice.
That's your choice, it will probably be max a few months difference between 491 and 189 grants as ECT is priority. On 491, living in DRA is a visa condition
@loopychicken3383 i submitted my EOI for 189,190 NSW 491 (VIC&NSW). Got invited for 491 first in May so i accepted it as i did not think i would have a chance for 189,it was very competitive. And i dont mind if i had to live and work in regional. But now i received it (thank God).. just weighing my optiond

Well then it is upto you. If you are okay with either visa then why not withdraw one of it and maybe you can request refund of the fee paid (i'm not sure if you can still do that or forfeit the amount). Since you are priority there is almost no difference in the time it takes to get your grant whether it is 491 or the 189, unlike us non priority which took nearly 20 months in my case.
