Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get some advice on my visa situation regarding my Bridging Visa A (BVA). In March 2025, I lodged my 491 visa application onshore and was granted a BVA. Currently, I am on a 476 visa, which is expiring very soon on the 28th of February 2026. I recently travelled to Pakistan and returned to Australia today on my valid 476 visa. Because my BVA was inactive when I left the country, I am confused about whether it ceased upon my departure. Now that I am back in Australia, will my BVA automatically activate when my 476 expires next week, or do I need to manually apply for bridging visa A again through my ImmiAccount to reinstate it before the 28th? I want to make sure I don't accidentally become unlawful next week, so any guidance on what I should do next would be greatly appreciated.

I have a question. I was going through the SkillSelect EOI data from the API eoi website and noticed that invitations for some occupations under subclass 189 appear to be issued every month, which made me doubt whether there is actually a single “invitation round” or if this is a data error in their system. If it is an error, how reliable is the API EOI data, and what is it actually useful for?
