Key Change to Subclass 407 Visa Requirements

Applications for the Subclass 407 Training visa can now only be lodged after both the employer sponsorship and nomination have been approved for the Occupational training to improve skills stream.

New legislation requires that, for the Structured Workplace-Based Training stream, applicants must wait until the sponsorship and nomination approvals are granted before submitting the visa application.

This stream is typically used by recent graduates who wish to extend their stay in Australia for workplace-based training.

Approx £500 for technical interview. 10.06.25 - pte test 1 approx £200 for test and question bank - passed used ape uni and e2 learning in YouTube. 23.06.25 - technical interview. 27.06.25 - paid for practical assessment £1050 and uploaded receipt. 17.07.25 - practical assessment. 21.08.25 - practical assessment confirmation received. 22.08.25 - put EOI in. 12.11.25- invited to apply. 22.30ish email received. 07.01.26 - application lodged. 10.02.26- s56 for medicals received. 11.02.26 booked medicals for 2.3.26 was offered original day of 23rd Feb. 2.3.26 - medical - xray returned following day as main applicant has shadow on lung. Further xray requested to confirm if a potential issue. 4.3.25 - 2nd xray from the back of chest. Xray returned following day as potential calcified nodule or granuloma. Possible historic TB. Thought this would cause problems and need further tests. 09.03.26 - visa granted!
