Thanks Mr Mendel for your work • Environmental consultant - non priority • QLD graduate • 190 invitation 13 March 2025 • 190 invitation approved 18 March 2025 • 190 lodgement 18 April 2025 • Health clearance provided 17 July 2025 • s56 for Form 80 received and submitted 9 July 2026 • Visa granted 12 August 2026 7 years since I moved to QLD in 2019.

Hi @gregormendel and everyone, i need some advice. * 190 visa granted: 6 March 2026 * First entry to Adelaide: 13 May 2026 (myself, wife & son) * PR visa expiry 06 Mar 2031

Due to personal reasons, we are considering returning to India, but I may send my son back to Australia after around 4 years.

My concerns are: 1. Is this possible without my son losing his PR status? 2. What is the latest date he can return to Australia using his current PR travel facility? 3. Is the 5-year travel facility counted from 6 March 2026 (grant date) or 13 May 2026 (first entry)? 4. If he returns after the 5-year travel facility expires, can he renew his PR visa and multiple entry facility easily, and 5. what are his chances if he has spent most of the period in India?

I want to plan this in a way that ensures my son does not lose his Australian PR. Any advice from people who have dealt with a similar situation would be greatly appreciated.
