Timeline: 9 January: Signed up with Call Australia Home Migration (Lesley Eckard). 17 January: Stage 1 of skills assessment done 25-28 June: Flew to NZ to complete stage 2 & 3 skills assessment taken 15 July: Husband did PTE academic 27 July: Received results- Passed Ccea skilled assessment August 2024: Obtained South Africa and Canadian PCC 15, 30 July: PTE Academic (missed superior in reading by a few points). 3rd attempt 27 Aug and missed reading again by 2 points for superior 18 September: Redid Pte (4th time & finally achieved 90 in all 4 components) 19 September: Submitted Ahpra application 2 Aug: EOI for 190 [85 points]: SA, NT and ACT and 189 visa [80 points] 23 September: EOI updated with increased points gained from Pte superior score 24 September: EOI SA received 6 Oct: SA Nomination submitted 25 Oct: Submitted additional docs for SA nomination 7 Nov: Received 189 visa invite 16 Dec: SA approves 190 Nomination. We have 60 days to apply. Decided to decline and apply for 189 visa 17 December: Lodged application for 189 visa 2 January: Did medicals 17 July: Submitted updated police clearances for Canada and South Africa 18 August: 189 Visa Approved (8 months since lodgement)
Finally received VIC190 grant after 18 months of wait. First invite - Oct 19th 2023 Final invite - Dec 15th 2023 Lodged visa - Jan 5th 2024 1st S56 - April 8th 2025(baby medicals and pcc) 2nd S56 - July 17th 2025(remedicals) Grant - Aug 18th 2025
