Hi everyone,
My wife is currently studying Master of Information Systems (MIS) at ECU, but due to the high points requirement for 190/491 visas, weβre exploring alternative pathways. Weβre considering switching to Early Childhood Teaching (ECT) or Enrolled Nursing during our 485 TR visa (3-year stream) to improve our PR prospects.
However, weβre confused about which option would be better:
ECT β Many migration lawyers recommend this, but with so many people opting for ECT, is it still a safe choice for state nomination?
Enrolled Nursing β How does this compare in terms of demand, PR pathways, and state sponsorship opportunities?
Would love insights from anyone who:
Switched to ECT/Nursing on a 485 visa.
Has experience with recent state nominations (WA/other states) for these fields.
Can advise on long-term viability (e.g., oversupply risks, employer sponsorship options).
Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing great. Just wanted to ask one thing i have got skill assessment done via ACS. Just wanted to check for how long assessment is valid for immigration as my acs letter states it is valid for 24 months but while submitting eois there is a clause that assessment is valid for 36 months unless shorter expiry date mentioned. So just wanted the clarification on this.
Thanks in advance
