Any news about invitations for WS or NSW visa 491

Hi everyone. I have dropped Eoi for Restaurant and cafe manager (190). My question is do we need to have working in the same field to apply 190 or is it ok to get job after pre- invite? Thanks in advance . I currently live in WA. Comes in general stream -2

We recently moved to a regional postcode within a Melbourne suburb, and I’ve just received a hybrid-role opportunity in Melbourne that aligns really well with my experience. The employer is supportive and has even agreed to list the role as “remote” on the contract to accommodate the 491 visa conditions.

Before I move forward, I’m trying to understand the implications. Would accepting a Melbourne‑based role that’s contractually marked as remote cause any issues later when applying for the 191 visa, or is it safer to hold off to avoid complications down the track?

Keen to hear from anyone who’s been through something similar or has insights into how this is usually assessed.

@gregormendel I have submitted my visa application on 25 june 2025 for retail pharmacist which is a priority occupation. I am offshore candidate. I can see some people got their grants within 6 months but i have not heard anything about my application and the status is still received. Any idea how long it will take for me to get my grant for 491 visa??

Hey guys, I applied for 190 back in Jan 31, 2025 for developer programmer in Victoria (Received my pre invite in November 2024). I am working in my field. Completed medical in February 2025. Any idea on when I would receive the visa grant ? Some of them who applied for software engineer in Jan 2025 (same as my timeline) has already received the grant. Was curious because I completed 13 months already after applying.

I see from the data available here that some invitations for 190 & 491 are received on lower score than mine. why I didn't get an invite even with higher score by QLD state nomimations? Can somebody clarify? Thank You
