Today's the culmination of a 4+ year journey as detailed below: . Skill assessment for primary applicant (my wife) applied: May 2021 Positive skill assessment received: August 2021 for Occupation as Chemistry Technician : ANZSCO: 311411 (although expected positive assessment for occupation as Chemist - which is a higher placed occupation starting with "234..." ) . EOI done in Oct 2021 . Points: 75 Family of 4 . Meanwhile appeared for PTE 4 times between August 2021 to October 2022 . No invitations received for this occupation, although some 189, 190 visa invites sent for Chemists with 65-70 points in 2022 . Days and months passed by without any invite. . Meanwhile, in Jan 2023, got desperate and forced our agent to initiate a new skill assessment (with priority option paying extra AUD 900) for occupation as Chemist with a successful assessment in February 2023. However, subsequently, no invite received from any state for both occupations. . Then a miracle appears in the form of ACT matrix 190 invitation on 09 May 2023 for Occupation - Chemistry Technician (1st assessed occupation 😭 Nomination approved on 19 May 2023.. Finally after lots of unnecessary delays from the agent side : Visa lodged - 24/06/2023 First medical - 04/07/2023 S56 - 22/07/2025 ( Medicals for full family ) Medicals done on 23/07/2025 Visa granted - 29/07/2025

On 28 July 2025 a person of civil engineering technician (CET) occupation who lodged 189 visa on 3 december 2024 got 189 visa grant. I have the same profile and everything and lodged visa on 3 december 2024 but i didnt recieve the visa even on 29 July 2025. Can you suggest the reason behind it ?

Posting on behalf of my employee 2nd 482 visa approved today Perth / Metal Fabricator / Family of 7 Non accredited… onshore 6/12/24 applied 2nd 482 visa 1yr 28/4/25 1st 482 expired & BVA Active 28/5/25 s56 for 3 police clearances 28/7/25 2nd 482 visa granted at 1.35pm 1st visa was granted for 2yrs, but didn’t take into account the few weeks to get onshore so had unpaid weeks & had to reapply to make up the shortfall. They are eligible for PR/186trt now, they are just saving the extra funds due to family of 7. Will submit application around Xmas unless some new rule comes out & submit sooner.
