I have a question. I was going through the SkillSelect EOI data from the API eoi website and noticed that invitations for some occupations under subclass 189 appear to be issued every month, which made me doubt whether there is actually a single “invitation round” or if this is a data error in their system. If it is an error, how reliable is the API EOI data, and what is it actually useful for?

Trends and Patterns in S56 Requests
S56 requests observed today primarily involved AFP checks and medical examinations. One NT 190 applicant who lodged in November 2024 received an S56 for both AFP and medicals. Among the visa grants reported, several applicants received S56 requests during their processing period, with AFP checks and medicals being the most common requirements. Notably, several applicants reported direct grants without S56 requests, particularly for NSW 190 Construction Project Manager and Financial Investment Advisor occupations. The VIC 190 Electrical Engineer case showed remedicals requested approximately 15 months after initial medicals were completed.
Priority occupation grants (Medical Practitioners, Psychologists, Registered Nurses) demonstrated significantly faster processing times, with QLD Medical Practitioner processing completed in just 10 days from lodgement. Non-priority occupations showed more varied processing times, ranging from approximately 8-15 months.

Has anyone who has done ACS skill assessment for Engineering Manager help answer this question
When considering relevant work experience, does ACS count the years when that person was a software engineer, before becoming an software Engineering manager?
Like 5 years of software engineer experience and the last 5 years of software manager experience can get you the max points (8+y) for work experience?
Any pointers are much appreciated
