I have received an invitation and am currently awaiting the grant of my Subclass 491 visa, as reflected in my profile.
I am currently employed as a Duty Manager and have the opportunity to accept a promotion to Front Office Manager before my visa is granted. My concern is that the Duty Manager position appears to fall under ANZSCO 141311, Hotel or Motel Manager, whereas the Front Office Manager position appears to fall under ANZSCO 431411, Hotel Service Manager.
Although the Front Office Manager role would represent a promotion within the same hospitality career path, I am unsure whether changing positions before my visa is granted could affect my visa application or create any issues with the relevant authorities.
I have also heard discussions about a possible transition from ANZSCO to OSCA. Some people have suggested that I could accept the higher position while ensuring that my employment contract continues to specify duties and responsibilities consistent with those of a Duty Manager. However, I would like to confirm whether this would be appropriate and compliant.
Could you please advise whether accepting this promotion, particularly if it involves moving to a different employer, could affect my Subclass 491 visa application? I would also appreciate your advice on which documents I should collect before changing positions/leaving the old workplace.
