Can we please get January 2026 FOI on time in last week of Feb, including 2023 data.
Still waiting for Dec FOI....!!!!!
I think he has not received it yet; otherwise, they would have published it.
What we able to understand by interpreting data of FOI ?? Please can anyone explain I have lodge application on 15th May, 2025 Welder 190 SA ..... So how one can predict my grant will issue in which month @gregormendel
Please check this FAQ
Hey is anyone here who is currently awaiting for the invitation for Disability service officer or have received one before?
The Nov FOI will be delayed, it seems, with this holiday season. Too bad.
Each FOI could be finalised within 30 business days of receiving its invoice. So it's not very reasonable to except it to be ready for publishing whitin 17 days.
@gregormendel Kindly also include 191 visa status in upcoming FOI.
How the FOI Sep 2025 should be treated? A. They have cherry-picked preferred occupation applications from a span of over 11 months (Jun 2023 to Apr 2024) in general. Will this not lead to further choking the pipeline as the old files will become even older, making things worse for the non-preferred occupations.
B. If they keep on granting at this pattern, can we still expect that they will be able to exhaust the allocated 33000 visas for this FY?
Regards
They will consume everything irrespective of their speed. They can increase the speed anytime as we have seen in past with regards to invitations. Their planning isn't that good as they think. They create mess in the beginning without good planning and later on try to cover up as they are currently doing by granting latest files to make processing time looks acceptable.
@gregormendel does the data for each month by lodgement has a number of main + dependant applicants not just main or am I reading it wrong? From the first table 2023/24/25 lodged total equals to ca 31k while at the bottom table for all on hand it says they have ca 16k onhand as at end of Sept for main and ca 31k for main plus dependant. Thanks!
month bys are main+dependants, that is primary+secondary
Yeah. Thats why these change month by month and could even grow going forward adding a newborn to the application. So do you assume divide by half for main? By the way we loose somewhere ca 80 applications when you compare totals meaning there must be some other type then granted/refused/withdrawn/onhand which is interesting. Or they use different data sources for these. Trying to understand when they should clear 2023. do you think having more dependants than standard 1 on your apllication could make it sit on further assesment longer? Have been waiting 5 weeks since s56 being cleared and trying to understand
remember foi only has data from jan 2023 onwards, there might be pre-jan 2023 pending cases still. For 190, assume family size of 1.9 average
Right. Thanks.
@gregormendel are you going to share the foi pdf on fb group or will it only be available if we upgrade to premium?
please read the post above.
thanks
when we can expect sep foi
As always, towards end of month, or week after.
Sep Foi still pending?
if you dont see an update here, then its still pending.
@gregormendel , Is it possible to request a separate table for offshore/onshore on-hand visas in FOI? It would be so useful.
Hello people! Anyone still waiting for 491 rant from June 2023 submission? I have gone through all the recent s56 for remedicals and didn't see one for June 2023, does it mean all applicants from this month got their grants? Feeling lonely, anyone in the same boat with me?
@gregormendel Thanks for your efforts. I noticed that in last FY, July 2024 DOHA processed about 4180, 190 applications. However in this FY July 2025, DOHA processed only 1766, 190 applications. Is this low number due to late release of the planning levels or it could be somthing else. My 190 application was lodged in September 2024 and I was expecting mine to be processed by this month or at least by October. But now it looks like it might get pushed beyong November. Would love to get your thoughts. Thanks
I have applied in March 2024, still haven't received my grant.
@sid1737 All the best. I think it could be any time now for you. Cheers
@loopymonkey5891 and @sid1737 I have been waiting since June 2023. This is ridiculous but inevitable, and uncontrollable. I wish there is something we can do.
Very sad that it's second week of September but July FOI is still pending, forget about August FOI ๐คฃ Looks like DHA is very busy
Yeah they are. If you notice how many mistake they made in publishing 189 round September, you will know they are very busy
I can see a bunch of new FOI disclosure logs released. Has July FOI data also come?
when it comes Ill update here
Why does the new FOI xls have the same data as the last update?
July FOI hasn't arrived yet, and XLS has other data too, not just FOI. 189 Round tab was updated.
The 189 data (incl. backlog) remain the same, with the only change observed in the rounds data updated?
@gregormendel Do you plan to submit FOI for August 2025? I hope we get the July 2025 FOI this week.
Aug FOI submitted
Thank you so much :)
I have just submitted this FOI: For FY2024-25, starting 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025: 1. For subclass 189, please provide the total number of invitations issued per occupation 2. For subclass 190, please provide the total number of invitations issued per occupation per state 3. For subclass 491 state sponsored, please provide the total number of invitations issued per occupation per state. Will update here once i get data back.
I am working in my nominated occupation but the experience is not assessed by VETASSES my points are higher even without claiming that experience. can I mark that experience as not relevant even it is relevant but not assesed yet as I am waiting for 1 year completion ?
Yes, you can do that, as long as you have a skill assessment.
when the new month Skill select Data will be updated?
usually on 1 or 2, so expect in a day or so
@gregormendel wat abt FOI may
Eagerly waiting for FOI of April, any change in status @gregormendel sir, like last time then status changed?
no update this time. I will post here right away if any updates.
Thanks sir
Just wondering if FOI data can be requested to split by sponsoring state. Will this add any value
That would be a separate FOI, otherwise too many things going on in one FOI,
Thanks, I raised a request for below information as a seperate FOI. I will share here if I get the data
Please provide a monthly breakdown from 1 January 2023 to 30 April 2025 for Subclass 190 visas, including: Number of applications lodged per month, broken down by nominating state Number of grants per month, broken down by nominating state For both of the above: Number of primary applicants only Number of total applicants (including secondary applicants) Number of unfinalised/on-hand applications by month and nominating state
Good luck. If you want, you can make a quick comment (same comment as above) in this FOI thread, so we can track it all in a single thread
@gregormendel thanks very much for uploading the March FOI data. What are your thoughts about the 189 lodgements in Feb and March 2025? Surely these lodgements would have occurred after the 60-day period following the November invitation round?
there are always tiny glitches in FOI data, there could be some exceptional circumstances. I suggest just ignore.
I think this time after applied with in 5 hours we got foi
no, this is March FOI, not April one, so took more than one month
oh ok ,march applied by yours
@gregormendel Thank you for the FOI pdf. I do not see March updates in SmartVisaGuide_05MAY2025.xls file? When is it going to be updated?
Regards,
will be done tomorrow morning, you can download the pdf for now.
Any specific reason on why they are Skipping June 2023 and granting Sep Oct Nov Dec instead ? Are they going to clear June this fiscal year?
@gregor
@gregormendel
I don't know of any specific reason, its a black box
I don't think they are skipping anything. I think what happened is that the original processing office keeps working on June applications, as there are lots of grants for June people. They have just re-routed the remaining applications to other offices for processing so that they can clear up 2023 backlog by end of fiscal, within the remaining quotas. And other offices just started processing what they were given.
@gregormendel how much time it may take for them to finish JUNE & JULY 2023, Applications. What if they finish remaining quotas for 2025, will they shift to next fiscal year? Thanks in advance
@gregormendel when Immi gives visa allocations, do they mean total number of visas (ONHAND) or total number of EOIs (ONHAND_P)?
Planning Levels correspond to total visa grants planned for the FY (not just primary)
@gregormendel Thanks for this, very interesting to see the Feb FOI update. Any thoughts about the rough cut off lodgement date for when the planning level will be reached? Assuming a similar number of applications were processed in March there would be around 1200 places left now, with processing currently up to the 19th/20th November.
3000 planning level left at end of February, and 5000+ visas pending lodged <= 30 Nov. So, lets see if you get lucky this FY.
Thanks for getting back to me. Mentally preparing for the longer wait, but still holding out some hope for this FY.
It also depends on how many slots left per state as well I believe, i could see NSW visa grants from 2nd week of Dec2023. @gregormendel, does immigration release visa data per state ?
there are no slots per states for visa processing, just for nominations
@gregormendel any chance of getting grant for 189 in this FY with visa lodgment date of 1st December?
@gregormendel Thank you for the update. looking forward to see the updated xls file too.
uploading in about 30 minutes
Hi @gregormendel, any updates on FOI Feb data?
Hopefully in coming week
I am a newcomer here, i opend the last 18 March sheet but I cound not understand anything from this data, can anyone have explain what that numbers means ?
since you havent received an invite yet, the FOI numbers are irrelevant as they pertain to visa processing (after visa lodgement).
https://smartvisaguide.com/occupations/233612?view=skillselect
This is more relevant for you @jumpygiraffe9390
You can see how many EOIs are submitted for your points in the different subclasses to get an idea of your chances of getting an invite.
@dracos93 thanks this really helps me alot
Hi @gregormendel do you have the FOI data of February as well ?
it usually comes by 25th of month after
Thank you
