Dear @gregormendel I have a few queries. Your prompt response will be much appreciated. If I make my first entry to Australia as single for two days only, then I come back to my home country and get married within one week. Will it cause any problem for me when I lodge my spouse visa later? Will it be any issue if my first entry date and marriage date are close? Also is it ok to visit for only two days for just making first entry? Thank you in advance for your ususal support

Dear @gregormendel, I just wanted a quick input from you. Your prompt response will be highly appreciated as always. I am just curious to ask that should I upload form 80 upfront? I am asking this because I updated my residential address in Immi account in July 2025. What are the chances that I will receive s56 from the department for form 80 now? My application is still in "Received" state and I am expecting direct grant.
Hello all; I have a query if anyone can guide me on this. I lodged my 189 visa application in December 2024. I have already submitted all the reference letters and job related documents at the time of visa lodgment. In January 2025, I moved to gulf as i got a new job there. I wanted to ask that is it necessary to inform DoHA about my new job while I have already provided all the documents for the points which I claimed? I was told by someone that after visa lodgment, my claimed points are already locked so no need to inform DoHA about new job. Moreover, I have not submitted form 80 yet, will it be a problem if DoHA asks for form 80 and then I had to mention about my travel to gulf? A detailed response will be highly appreciated as i am quite anxious now.
@gregor @biotechy, dear I lodged my 189 visa on 1st December 2024. My application status in Immi account is still "Received". Should I assume that my application is still not been reviewed by DoHa or is it normal thing? Also, I have not received any s56 or commencement email yet. Dear @gregormendel, now as Labour party has won the elections, what's your take on migration strategies in next FY especially the visa processing timelines? Furthermore, we people who have lodged 189 visa application in Nov-Dec 2024, can we expect grant in first quarter of next FY? Thanks as always for your kind support and swift response.
