Will there be any invitation rounds for NSW this year before Christmas?

Your question is about "any invitation rounds for NSW". There may be no "proper" ones this FY at all and they may just keep giving interim allocations so that the backlog is significantly reduced.
So the federal government's announcement of same allocations does not hold true right? Few more doubts/queries.. 1. State allocations aren't released yet, leaving the current EOI applicants waiting.. 2. What is the current backlog and how do we know the backlog? Would this impact the NSW invitations until June'2026? 3. What would be the possibilities and other ways for people waiting for pre invite?

@gregormendel We can see that May '24 190 applicants have started receiving grants. Given that there is not much backlog after this, can be hopeful that Nov 24 applicants can start receiving grants before the year end or early Feb '26?

No one can tell you what's safe to assume. All of these projections are speculative. But with 3000-3500 grants per month starting October it's highly likely that most of the Nov 24 (myself included) applicants will get their visas this calendar year as the backlog as of end of September (speculatively, assuming ~2500 grants in Sep) should be around 10000-10500 applicants.

Indeed @zanysquirrel8433, if we get this months FOI data, will paint a much better picture of the actual scenario.
I think at this point it's pretty clear what's going to happen. September had more grants than August or July, October seems busier than September. Even if they keep giving around 1500-2000 grants per month for Sep/Oct, they would have to do a huge grant month of 5000+ grants sooner than later to catch up to their target of 33000 this FY.
Bu we still have June 2023 applicants waiting for grants, especially the 491s, I wonder if these have not been forgotten

@bunnychitangle did they generate a new hapid ? What does the medical section in immi look like? Mime says no action required even though S56 says medical (and employment proofs).
