Trends and Patterns in S56 Requests
The S56 activity for 10 July 2026 was minimal, with only one reported request. This S56 was issued for a Tasmania 190 application lodged in November 2025, requesting recent pay slips and bank statements. The request was issued just two days before the grant, suggesting final verification of employment and financial circumstances.
Three out of four grants reported today were for priority health occupations (Enrolled Nurse and Registered Nurse), with visa processing times ranging from approximately 4 to 7.5 months. The non-priority occupation (CPM) also processed within a similar timeframe of approximately 4 months. Tasmania dominated the grant activity with three grants, while Victoria issued one grant.
One applicant reported a direct grant without any S56 requests, while S56 status for two other grants remains unknown as this information was not shared.
๐ This report represents crowdsourced data and is a subset of total visa activity. Only the Department of Home Affairs has complete grant data for this period.

@gregormendel, Is anyone else noticing that the Department of Home Affairs seems to be granting mostly onshore visas lately? From what I can see, many recent grants are for applicants who lodged their applications in 2026, while there are very few, if any, offshore grants being reported.
I lodged my application in June 2025 under a priority occupation, and Iโm still waiting with no updates. Itโs becoming really confusing, and I have no idea whatโs happening or when offshore applicants can expect decisions.
Are there any other offshore applicants from 2025 still waiting? Has anyone received any information or noticed a similar trend?
