Trends and Patterns in S56 Requests
S56 requests continue to focus on standard documentation verification. Common requests include expired passport updates, employment verification letters, and police clearance certificates. One case involved more detailed requests including military discharge papers, regional crime checks, employer information, and evidence of regional living arrangements. These requests appear routine and do not indicate any systematic processing delays.
News and Updates
Multiple 191 PR grants were observed today, suggesting active processing of this visa subclass. One applicant noted receiving GSM allocation on 17 June 2026 and commencement letter on 27 June 2026 before grant on 13 July 2026.
Priority occupation processing continues to show efficiency, with Early Childhood Teachers receiving grants in approximately 4 months. Non-priority occupations show more variable processing times, ranging from 4 to 8 months depending on complexity and S56 requirements.

Please resume processing offshore skilled visa applications for Iranian applicants.
Years of waiting and uncertainty have become emotionally exhausting. The prolonged delays have caused significant mental stress, anxiety, and emotional hardship for thousands of skilled applicants and their families. Living in limbo for so long has been deeply draining.
We respectfully ask for fair, transparent, and timely processing, just like applicants from other nationalities. We are not asking for special treatment—only the opportunity to have our applications assessed fairly and to move forward with our lives.
Hi everyone,
Visa: 190 (ACT), Onshore Occupation: Systems Administrator Lodged: 27/02/2025 Current wait: 16.6 months Last contact: s56 (remedical) received 15/05/2026 — responded and cleared on 26/05/2026, no update since
I've noticed quite a few 190 grants recently for applications lodged well after mine, in non-priority occupations, and in some cases with no s56 at all. Is there any pattern or explanation for this? Trying to understand if this is just normal case-officer variability, or if Systems Admin specifically is sitting in a slower queue right now. Would appreciate hearing from anyone in a similar boat, or with insight into current processing order.
