Procedure of getting protector stamp on your passport for your 189/190/491 visa (Pakistani citizens only):

Documents required: -Copy of your CNIC -Copy of your spouse/father/mother/sibling CNIC -(any one of them) -Copy of your Passport -Copy of Police Character Certificate - latest -Copy of your Visa label/grant -Affidavit on stamp paper - RS - 100 -Take originals of your CNIC and passport with you.

Format of Affidavit to be submitted:

I, (name) son/daughter/husband/wife of (name) hereby solemnly swear that I have received the Australian Visa 189/190/491 (Skilled work [Regional] {in case of 491}]). This is a job seeking visa and currently I don't have any job in Australia, I will be searching for a job in Australia on my own and in case I am not successful in securing a job, I will be taking sole responsibility of any outcome that may come due to that.

Sincerely (name) CNIC XXXXX-XXXXXXX-X Signatures

Step vise procedure: -After you have every document ready, make two identical copies of these documents, keep originals with you and bring Rs 10000 cash and a PEN with you to the Protector office

-Arrive at the earliest, as soon as the office opens, I guess the operating times are 8:30am, check your local office timings on their website (Google protector office Pakistan)

-When you arrive, you will have to stand in a que to get the challan form, they will check your documents if they are in order and then issue you the challan form, they will not keep any documents at this step

-Once you have the challan form, go to a place on the side somewhere where you can fill it up

-On the challan form there will be a page where you have to mention details of your employer, but since there is no employer in our case, so write about the number of NSW Government

-Once you have filled the challan form, go to the bank window within the office where you will need an extra CNIC copy to attach with the challan form, pay them the Rs9200 fee and get the stamped challan back, at this point they will not take any document from you.

-Next you have to go to the insurance window, there you will give them one copy of your document along with the paid challan form They will issue you two copies of your life insurance receipt, where your nominee will be the family member you provided CNIC of.

-At this point they keep that one copy of your document set and give you your insurance slip and challan form back

-Now go to the next window for biometric, I suggest you submit your online application form on protector website before that, just mention job seeking where they ask for employer details and '0' where they ask for salary, attach you picture on that online form, mention your nominee and other details like, bank account/jazzcash/easy paisa, address, contact details etc

-Once you have that online submitted get in line for biometric, they will take your passport, verify your online application and get your biometric done, after that they will give you your passport back along with a printed page with your picture, details etc, you have to sign that and go to next window for submission

-On the next and last window, submit your second document set, original passport, biometric receipt/printed page, insurance slips and challan form.

-You will not get any receipt or record from there, they just take it.

-There might be a briefing bath this window about your visa or rights, but it depends on the office location and the person sitting in that window.

-Challan form on first window is only available till 1pm, so make you come early to get everything done by 1pm

-Now you have to wait. They will re-open the gates at 3pm and call out your name to handover your passport with the stamp and a copy of your insurance slip.

-Once you have that, you are done

-Make sure every applicant physically visit the Protector office as they do biometric, if you have a spouse take them with you, insurance slip, biometric and final passport handover can only be done by applicant themselves no one else can do that.

Pakistanis do not require Protector stamped on passports if they are going to Australia on PR. Protector stamp is only required for employment visas.
