Hey all, I recently received "IMMI Letter" for my 485 (Higher education stream) application. Content provided in quotes below:
"We are ready to decide your Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa application but note you already hold a subclass 500 visa. As grant of a Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa will cease your subclass 500 visa, please advise how you wish to proceed.
For your information, your Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa application must be
decided. The Department can grant or refuse a visa. Visa applicants have the option to
withdraw."
I am on a student visa active till Oct 2026 and currently waiting for a 190 grant. Would i also be getting an email like this in case my visa decision is made or would they just grant it?
Just asking out of curiosity any advice is appreciated

it doesnt matter to u. When you get 190 grant, 190 will directly override student visa (or the bridging if grant comes after study visa expiry)
But in the case i get my visa decision beforE my Student visa ends?
then you get 190 directly
