I applied 491 on June, 2023 and I still haven't received any update or S56. Should I contact the DoHA or wait. What you suggest @gregormendel

In the same boat! Applied in June 2023 and waiting. I have called them and the answer is completely vague. No matter what your urgency is, the representative says they can’t do anything.

The only thing once they told me is to write the reason of urgency in a word document and upload it to Immi portal. I stopped calling and hoping to get it soon. If they start with oldest appliances first, we will hear from them real soon

Contact them - Don't just call and say that you are following up. You need to have a strong reason then only they will do something.

It won't hurt to contact them. But also, it won't help to do so either. You should get it soon, and soon means "as quickly or as long as it takes", which is not a helpful advice.
