Hi everyone,

I’d appreciate some advice from people who have received a Victorian ROI invitation recently or who are familiar with the latest Victorian skilled migration trends.

I have positive ACS skills assessments for all three of the following occupations:

261314 – Software Tester 263211 – ICT Quality Assurance Engineer 263213 – ICT Systems Test Engineer

My profile:

Age: 32 English: Superior (PTE) NAATI CCL: Passed Marital status: Single applicant 5+years of experience Subclass 190 points: 95 Subclass 491 points: 105

With Victoria introducing the new Victorian Points Test and changing how ROIs are ranked, I’m unsure which occupation I should nominate in my ROI.

My questions are:

Based on the latest Victorian invitation trends, have applicants with any of these three ANZSCO codes received ROI invitations recently?

Is there any noticeable difference in invitation outcomes between Software Tester, ICT Quality Assurance Engineer and ICT Systems Test Engineer?

Since Victoria has changed its ROI ranking system, does the nominated occupation still make a significant difference, or is the new Victorian Points Test score the main factor?

For someone with my profile, which factors should I focus on when deciding which occupation to nominate? Would you recommend selecting one occupation or considering different occupations for the 190 and 491 pathways, if permitted under the current rules?

I understand that invitations are not guaranteed and depend on the applicant pool. I’m particularly interested in recent, genuine invitation experiences under the new system, rather than older invitation trends.

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
