Hope the following helps someone out there! We are gay parents and had our child born through surrogacy in Canada. We did provide Canadian court order of parenthood. Australian Department of home affairs did NOT attempt to engage with surrogate for further consents, etc. We didn’t face any additional hustle for this fact. We didn’t provide any documentation by residence country (Spain) regarding parenthood, only place of birth (Canada)

5.00 years experience as per Vetassess skill renewal assessment on state nomination date (21 Nov 2024). However, Skillselect was short of 1 day to reach 7 years on state nomination date. Vetasses substrated 2 years. Claiming 10 points for experience.

Vetassess substracted 2 years of relevant experience so my total experience was 4.75 years at the time of state pre-invite. However I did claim 6.75 years in my EOI (+5 extra points). My Advanced Diploma was assessed as relevant education but not at the required skill. Additionally my BSc was assessed as not relevant education but at required skill.
