Hi, I need some help about a question in my 491 visa application.
The visa form asked: βHas the applicant been employed overseas in their nominated occupation or a closely related occupation at a skilled level, immediately before invitation to lodge this application?β
I selected βNoβ because I thought βoverseasβ means working in another country. But I was actually working in Pakistan (my home country) at that time in my nominated occupation Human Resource Manager (132311).
I have already added all my job details and experience letters in the application.
Now Iβm confused, does βoverseasβ mean outside Australia, which includes Pakistan?
If yes, then maybe I should have selected βYes.β
My questions are: 1.Did I make a mistake by selecting βNoβ? 2.Should I update or upload a clarification, or just wait for the case officer? 3.Can this cause any problem with my visa?
Hi everyone, I need some expert opinions regarding my EOI and visa application consistency. In my EOI for subclass 491, I selected βYesβ to βDoes the clientβs partner have a nominated occupation?β and chose Telecommunications Engineer β 263311 as my partnerβs nominated occupation. I selected βNoβ for βDoes the partner have a suitable skills assessment?β My wife actually has a BE in Electronics Engineering (specialization in Telecommunications), but she has never worked in that field. She is currently working as a teacher, which I mentioned truthfully in the visa application. I did not claim any partner skill or work experience points. Will this inconsistency between EOI (Telecom Engineer as nominated occupation) and the visa application (current teaching experience) cause any issue or concern with Home Affairs?
@gregormendel Sir, My wife and I are applying for a visa along with our two children who are both under 18 years of age. Could you please confirm whether we need to submit Form 1229 β Consent documents for children under 18 as part of the ITA (Invitation to Apply) stage? Thank you for your guidance.
@gregormendel sir, Iβm hoping to get some advice. My skills assessment was done through IML, as they are my nominated assessing authority. While the assessment was successful, they evaluated my MBA as equivalent to an Associate Degree. Based on someoneβs advice, I also had a qualification assessment done by VETASSESS (for points test advice), and they assessed my MBA as equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. Now Iβm a bit confusedβshould I claim 10 points or 15 points for my qualification, considering that my skill assessment body is IML? Appreciate any insights. Thanks in advance!
@@gregormendel sir, I want to clarify my question for my Australian visa application. I recently received my Invitation to Apply (ITA) and have a question about my spouse's details. In my EOI, I mentioned "YES" to "Does the client's partner have a nominated occupation?" and listed "Telecommunications Engineer" based on her BE Electronics qualification. However, I explicitly did not claim any partner skills points for her, and she genuinely does not have any work experience. Now, in the ITA, when asked about her employment history in the last 10 years, I'm wondering if selecting "NO" (as she has no experience) will cause any issues or doubts with the Department of Home Affairs, given I previously nominated an occupation for her in the EOI. My understanding is that since no points are claimed and she has no experience, "NO" is the correct and truthful answer. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.
@@gregormendel I got an Invitation to Apply (ITA), but I'm a bit stuck on how to declare my spouse's info. In my EOI, I said "Yes" to nominating my spouse's occupation, but I didn't claim partner skill points because their skill assessment wasn't done. Now they're working, and I'm not getting a skill assessment for them.
My question is: Do I list their previous work experience in the ITA, even though I'm not claiming points for it? I'm really worried that if I don't put their experience in the ITA, it might mess with my visa application, especially since I mentioned their occupation in the EOI.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or have advice? Any help would be greatly appreciated! π
