I have a question. I was going through the SkillSelect EOI data from the API eoi website and noticed that invitations for some occupations under subclass 189 appear to be issued every month, which made me doubt whether there is actually a single “invitation round” or if this is a data error in their system. If it is an error, how reliable is the API EOI data, and what is it actually useful for?

it likely user has selected multiple subclass in eoi, so they likely got 190 or 491, and it will show up in count of all 3 subclasses. Read more here, scroll down to link at bottom of FAQ
