VIC 190 visa grant - life scientist general with skilled partner onshore Claimed 1 year of experience taken away by vetassess. Application submitted 01 Nov 2024 S56 for police certs and medicals 11 Dec 2025 Visa grant - 14 Jan 2026 Most importantly - I have claimed the 1 year of experience that Vetassess took away from me which gave me 5 points for overseas work experience. Otherwise I would not have any points for work experience and would like not get invited for PR in that financial year. I’ve done extensive research in this topic and my situation and provided more than enough evidence if skilled employment including a statement why I claimed the 1 year. I submitted everything on my own however I would like to thank Gregor Mendel and his fantastic team for providing guidance here on Facebook and during the private consultations.

Our story below: My journey to PR was most likely shorter than for most people, however it has been incredibly stressful. Myself and my partner arrived in Australia on VHW without jobs not knowing what to expect and not knowing whether we will be able to stay longer. My partner has not been able to find a job on this visa for approximately 9 months and I had to take a step back from a scientist role back home to a technician here in Melbourne. Luckily things worked well for me and soon after I was able to get promoted to a scientist role which opened doors to PR. Unfortunately I was running out of time and my employer was not able to sponsor me. My partner has decided to apply for a masters degree and a student visa to buy us more time and give us a chance for PR invite and for me to remain employed. After he completed 3 months of his masters course we were still on BVA for the student visa when the 190 pre-invite came.s shortly after we’ve received th full invite and were able to cancel the student visa application. After 14 months of waiting and being stuck in Australia on BVC not being able to visit home the wait is finally over. The stress the whole process caused resulted in deep anxiety and unfortunately I had to start taking anti anxiety medication and I am still on them to this day. My mental health is currently shattered and I am working on getting better. Please take care of yourselves guys. I have my fingers crossed for you.
