@mohitg (1D ago| Updated 1D ago)Hi all. I have submitted an EOI for subclass 189. I have a query regarding Partner Skills.
As per DoHA website, for me "to be eligible for the award of 10 points, my partner must be an applicant for the same visa subclass". Further, the partner has to nominate "a skilled occupation that is on the same skilled occupation list as my nominated skilled occupation".
A. Visa Subclass When I checked my partner's ANZSCO code (263211 - ICT Quality Assurance Engineer) on the skill occupation list (https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/skill-occupation-list), the subclass 189 does not show up for her occupation. Only subclasses 190, 407, 489, 494, 491, 482, and 186 are present, while mine (233211 - Civil Engineer) has all the above + 189 and 485 too.
B. Skilled Occupation List My partner's occupation is present on STSOL and CSOL , and mine is present on MLTSSL and CSOL.
So my question is, based on the above facts it seems that I cannot include my partner in my EOI to claim 10 points, since she is ineligible for subclass 189? Please guide. ππ»

It is no longer mandatory for the partner's occupation to be listed on the same list as the primary applicant, so you can go ahead and claim 10 points for Partner skills.
This is the exact answer here. For 189, your partner occupation need to be on MLTSSL
Thank you. I will check it out. Can you tell what's the relevance of CSOL?
Not relevant for 189/190/491, for employer sponsored.
Understood. Thanks.
