depends on how big the backlog is for your visa. In our case, it was 7 months when we lodged and went on to 18 months. Medicals expired 2 months back so we will have to do them again if they ask.

The longer you wait in medical assessment, the longer the visa to process to next stage, resulting a delay visa grant.
