@tanu (22H ago| Updated 22H ago)@gregormendel, Is anyone else noticing that the Department of Home Affairs seems to be granting mostly onshore visas lately? From what I can see, many recent grants are for applicants who lodged their applications in 2026, while there are very few, if any, offshore grants being reported.
I lodged my application in June 2025 under a priority occupation, and Iβm still waiting with no updates. Itβs becoming really confusing, and I have no idea whatβs happening or when offshore applicants can expect decisions.
Are there any other offshore applicants from 2025 still waiting? Has anyone received any information or noticed a similar trend?

Lets wait for a week or so, the pattern should become clearer
I am offshore, applied Nov 23, 2025. Non priority occupation, still waiting. I realized the emphasis on onshore grants in May this year.
They have resumed grants from yesterday and only onshore so far.
Lodged in May 2025. Non-priority. Received and responded to two s56s. Last one on May 14. Still on Further Assessment.
Mine is priority occupation lodged in june 2025. No s56 received no update and status is still received.
Hopefully you will get a direct grant. :)
Thanksπ«
