Is it just me or VIC pre-invites doesn't make sense this FY?...
@vtrc (21H ago| Updated 21H ago)Is it just me or VIC pre-invites doesn't make sense this FY? Are they using AI or something picking out random profiles like a lottery?
I saw a Mechanical Engineer who was invited on 1st May with 90 points, while there are others waiting at 100. I don't think being single is also an issue, as I know few other Mech Engg with skilled partners still waiting at 100.
Today ICT BA with 100 points & 80K salary was invited. While I can see there are others in this platform with 100 points & 90-100K salary still waiting.

@vtrc Hi. Just wanted some clarification on the salary part. Is having a salary between some range is also a parameter for getting an invite ? what if the applicant with roi or eoi is having 100 score and not working right now? Are they not considered competent to be selected? Recently i heard an agent tell me randomly that Victoria prefers applications with partners working and single candidates are not preferred unless there are no couples. I believe they want people who contribute to their economy more from a single invite than inviting singles alone
There is almost always some difference, its hard to say what, without putting EOI/ROI side by side.
Then I hope it becomes a bit more predictable coming FY. There seems to be decent IT invites every round, yet I read IT personnel are oversaturated in VIC where plenty of job applicants are already having PR or Citizenship.
@amru Yes, salary is also a parameter. They could invite people not working in their occupation, but after a grant there is no guarantee they will find & work in their occupation, so my guess is their preference goes to the people already working in their occupation. Couples are partners, VIC ROI also does not ask if they have a child etc. I have also heard that VIC prefers having skilled partners but as for contribution to the economy, singles do as much as couples or even more! For example - A family of 4 takes 4 spots from the planning level for that FY, where 2 are just children and they don't contribute by paying taxes etc. But if 4 spots are taken by 4 singles, everyone contributes.
