Just a quick question: What is the validity of a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) when a person has exited a country before visa expiry, did not return thereafter, and obtained the PCC from that country’s consulate or embassy six months after exit?
I am aware that a PCC from the current country of residence is generally valid for one year.

4. Trends and Patterns in S56 Requests
The majority of S56 requests issued on 03 February 2026 were for medical examinations, including polio vaccinations. This pattern is consistent with recent trends where health-related documentation remains the primary reason for further information requests. Notably, S56 requests for polio certificates were issued to both onshore and offshore applicants across Subclass 189 and 190 visas.
For non-priority occupations (Software Engineers, Civil Engineers, ICT Business Analysts), visa processing times ranged from approximately 10 to 14 months. Priority occupations such as Physiotherapist demonstrated faster processing at approximately 10 months despite being offshore. Trade occupations (Gas Fitter, Plumber) processed in approximately 9 months.
VIC 190 grants dominated today's activity, with multiple Software Engineers receiving grants after S56 requests for medicals in late January 2026. The processing time for VIC 190 applications lodged in late 2024 and early 2025 appears to be between 10-14 months for non-priority occupations.
One applicant reported successfully requesting expedited processing due to employment and financial circumstances, receiving an S56 for medicals 10 days after contact with the department, followed by a grant 3 days after medical completion.

I am trying to identify my ANZSCO code. I have completed BTech in India in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation and would appreciate the guidance of anyone who has applied for skill assessment.
I have shortlisted the below codes 1. 233914 Engineering Technologist - Industrial Engineering Technologist 2. 233411 Electronics Engineer
Any guidance on this would be extremely helpful for me to proceed.
