Work Experience for Statistician (224113)
Hi everyone, quick question regarding the VETASSESS skills assessment for Statistician (ANZSCO 224113). I have a BSc and MSc in Statistics, so my education is fully aligned.
However, my corporate experience is in the analytics division of a global bank. My day-to-day is pretty standard corporate analytics: lots of SQL data pulling, dashboarding, business analytical reporting, segmentation
How can I define my experience in my Statement of Service to make it relevant? Obviously, I use my stats background to look at data distributions and trends, but my actual daily output is dashboards and reports.
Hi, once the Visa is lodged, can the Occupation category still affect Visa grant time line or is it purely based on verification checks and processing time by Home affairs? For example, I have currently applied for subclass 190 Visa (NSW) in Developer programmer occupation category. Could I have had a better chance in speeding up the Visa grant if I had applied in ICT Business Analyst occupation category (it's said to have a higher demand). Thanks in advance.
I have a question regarding the EOI process and would really appreciate any guidance from those who have gone through it.
My profile:
Positive skills assessment for: 261314 – Software Tester 263211 – ICT Quality Assurance Engineer 263213 – ICT Systems Test Engineer Age: 32 PTE: Superior NAATI: Passed Current points: 90 points for Subclass 190 100 points for Subclass 491 By the end of July, I'll gain an additional 5 points for work experience.
I have a few questions:
- For NSW, do I need to submit separate EOIs for each of the above three ANZSCO occupation codes?
- Do I need to create separate NSW profiles for Subclass 190 and Subclass 491?
- Can I select all states (except Victoria) in a single EOI, or is it better to submit multiple EOIs?
- Based on the current trend, which of these three occupation codes is likely to have the best chance of receiving an invitation this year?
I'm just trying to understand the process correctly before submitting my EOI. I'd be very grateful for any advice or experiences you can share.
