I submitted 1023 From by correcting tax debt in From 80 which I have have but agent gave me wrong advice. Now I am in payment plans for 24 months where I pay each month. I did the correction after 8 months of applying my 189 in Civil Engineer Draftsperson in graduate stream. I submitted payment plans evidence from ATO. Can this affect my grant and why is it taking so long time for 189 grant? Thanks.
Hey! It has been over a month and a half since I submitted the documents as requested by the officer in S56. Overall, it has been 27 months since I launched my visa application under the Subclass 190. Could you please let me know if there is an estimated timeframe for a response following the S56 submission, or if it is entirely unpredictable? I saw some people getting grant within few days while some are not getting an answer even after months.
This is really brutal. A person of exact same profile and lodging date got grant more than 1.5 months ago. People with similar occupations (non- priority, offshore, similar points) lodged after me are getting grants. And here i am waiting since more than 9.5 months. I have even surpassed the predicted time and 99% grants.

Need advice – 491 visa vs PhD in Brisbane
Situation:
I have an offer for a PhD at UQ (St Lucia, Brisbane) starting 1 Jan 2026. I also have a Subclass 491 visa lodged in July 2025 (primary applicant, occupation on 491 list). If the 491 is granted while I am studying in Brisbane: I’d be breaching the live, work, and study in regional area condition and can’t apply for 191 as primary. My spouse and kids are dependents/secondary applicants on my 491 application. If my spouse fulfills all 491 requirements, can I still be included as a dependent on their 191 application even though I personally breached 491? will breaching having any adverse affect on 191 application where I am secondary applicant? And if my University changes the campus to Gatton (which is regional) on COE, then I will not be breaching the study, live, work condition or otherwise as my faculty is located in St Lucia?
