S56 Trends

Subclass State Location Occupation Lodge Date S56 Date Detail
491 OFFSHORE Electrical Engineer 2 May 2024 24 Nov 2025 Remedicals (all); Spouse functional English (MOI letter)
190 OFFSHORE Retail Pharmacist 14 Jun 2025 24 Nov 2025 Form 815

Trends and Patterns in S56 Requests

The S56 requests observed today show a mix of standard compliance checks. Two offshore applicants received S56 requests: one for Form 815 (health undertaking) for a Retail Pharmacist who lodged in June 2025, and another for remedicals and spouse functional English evidence for an Electrical Engineer who lodged in May 2024.

For granted visas, S56 requests varied significantly. Priority occupation applicants (Health professionals) received expedited processing with minimal S56 intervention - the Intensive Care Specialist only received a PCC request, while the Physiotherapist had no recorded S56. Non-priority occupations showed similar patterns, with the Carpenter receiving no S56, and the Painter receiving only an updated Polio vaccination request close to grant. The 491 University Lecturer case involved complex health-related S56 and S57 requests spanning multiple months, including remedicals and additional medical examinations for a dependent with health concerns.

News and Updates

NT and SA Registers of Interest (ROIs) opened on 24 November 2025. NT ROIs were expected to open on this date as previously announced.

s56 Request: Hi everyone, I just received an S56 request for my Subclass 189 after 10 months and 18 days. Immigration asked me for:

1.Evidence of ATO payments (Iโ€™m on a payment plan for $2,252)

  1. New police clearances

Does getting these types of S56 requests usually indicate Iโ€™m close to a grant? Or is it just standard procedure?

What are the chances of getting the visa granted after providing these documents?

Software Engineer with 90 points for 189. Is it worth waiting? And how can I ensure which states are actively looking for SEs?
