@gregormendel any information on what the commencement email suggests? From looking through other peoples' experiences, it seems a bit arbitrary. Some people have waited many more months for an update after receiving the email.

yes, its a bit arbitrary and doesnt have too much predictive power. Best to monitor your subclass page for dates activity
All good, thanks for that. Had a look through the database filtering for this event and it's a bit all over the place. Interesting that the commencement email doesn't seem to be sent out to everyone as a matter of process.
The only unfortunate thing is that I'd come to terms with waiting until July / August at the very least, but this has brought my endless preoccupation with the grant coming through any day now roaring back!
I think your grant can drop in any time, between Now, and first 2 months of coming FY.
