@jumpylizard3007 (1M ago| Updated 1M ago)I can’t input my citizenship as Hong Kong, so I enter worldwide instead. But the system doesn’t allow me to edit my profile or add events. Could anyone please fix this?
Hong Kong is not a country, the citizenship would be People's Republic of China which is available in the dropdown.

Hong Kong people are well aware that Hong Kong is not a country. However, internationally—especially in migration matters—we are often treated differently from other parts of China. For example, on IMMI accounts, we always select “Hong Kong” as our citizenship rather than “China” because we have distinct privileges under Australian migration policies. I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but this identity is deeply important to us. While some Chinese nationals may not agree, being required to select “Chinese” as our citizenship can feel almost as insensitive as calling a Welsh person simply “British.”
Thanks for explaining. Hong Kong SAR is now available as an option, and I have set yours to Hong Kong SAR.
Thanks so much!
