Would it be possible to send a reminder email or something to them so the portal stays up to date? For Marketing related occupations as an example, more than half are supposedly waiting for their grants for more than 24 months, some waiting upwards of 34 months.

Those profiles not online in last 14 days automatically get excluded from all calculations and it shows "last seen more than X ago in their profiles". So they dont affect any statistics/estimates.
If the applicant didn't care about updating after grant, I doubt they will login again to update after receiving an email. The ones who want to update, do so day of grant, or worst case within a few weeks for most. I have tried some reminder emails in the past, some were reported as spam by recipients. Now we dont send any emails except the (necessary) signup/login emails.
That's is just how it is, some users just want to see their "predicted date" by entering the visa application date. When they get grant, they just abandon the profile.
