Below the classic answer from DHA after submitting my complaint about processing times for my visa application (sent the complaint on the 30th July):

Your application is within our published processing times. We cannot provide any updates on your application’s progress. If you have lodged your application online, you can check the status of your application through ImmiAccount.

Processing times

You can view current processing times on the following pages of the Department’s website; visa processing times. Information on visa and citizenship processing times is updated often as new data is available. You should check regularly to ensure you remain aware of the current processing times.

This information is only an indication of how long your application may take to process and does not guarantee that your application will be processed within the specified time frame.

Circumstances that affect processing times

We assess applications on a case-by-case basis, and actual processing times can vary due to individual circumstances including:

· whether you have lodged a complete application, including all necessary supporting documents

· how promptly you respond to any requests for additional information (remember to check your junk folder, as our correspondence may auto-filter into spam)

· how long it takes to perform required checks on the supporting information provided

· for permanent migration visa applications, how many places are available in the migration program

We have now referred your feedback to the relevant business area and closed this case. While no further response has been requested, business areas may provide additional comment at their discretion.

Hi @gregormendel, is there an explanation on why Immigration has slowed down this much in terms of 491 grants ? Thanks

Hello Everyone,

I applied for a 491 visa (QLD sponsorship) on the 15th November 2023 (medicals and biometrics received by the Immigration on the 22nd November), do you think there is a chance I get a visa grant before July ? it's starting to be very frustrating now, especially seeing the few 491 visa grants since the end of April.
