Hi everyone, I’m looking for some guidance regarding a new EOI for WA State Nomination (subclass 190).

My previous WA nomination was refused because I did not have 12 months of work experience at the time of application.

Work experience timeline:

Overseas experience – accepted by VETASSESS for Skills Assessment. ( 9 months of experience and no point calculated or no experience counted for eligibility for nomination.)

Amcal Pharmacy (Australia) – Pharmacy Assistant (Title differs on payslips and contracts, but the JD is similar in the reference letter and contract.)

5 months included in my VETASSESS skills assessment

WA did not consider an additional 4 months of work completed later because they were not included in the Skills Assessment.

During the nomination process, I was advised that only work experience supported by the skills assessment is considered for the WA nomination.

Current role in WA – Pharmacy Technician

Will soon complete 12 months full-time

My question is:

Should I get a new skills assessment based only on my current WA Pharmacy Technician role and then lodge a new EOI?

Or can I use my existing positive skills assessment and claim only the new 12 months of WA experience, even though the skills assessment includes earlier roles with a different job title?

Any advice from people familiar with WA nomination would be really appreciated. Thank you πŸ™
