@taransr (4H ago| Updated 4H ago)@biotechy I wanted to ask if the 189 visa allocations were already exhausted till the June end which was 336 more than projected then why the grants still happening in July and August, without the allocation of year 2025-26? and if these are backlogs than why the processing is so slow that only the onshore and priority occupations are granted visa from December lodgers ? Kindly clarify if possible. Thanks

grants are happening bcoz they already have planning levels. they will announce soon.
there are planning levels available this FY (new one), but they aren't announced yet. Minister mentioned in an interview that they are proceeding with previous FY planning levels in mind, for now, until they announce officially . I am not sure what "slow" means here but the grants are coming, and total grants in FY will equal the planning levels.
Here slow means that on July 28 we saw a Civil Engineering technician with 75 points offshore getting visa who lodged application on 3 december and there was one more who got S56(lodged on 4 december same profile, offshore) in July got his grant in august. I am too a 3 december lodger and its been a month haven't got any update on my application. If its not about the occupation, what reason can be behind this?
I expect grants to pick up pace in September. Good luck
thanks
