@mohitg (6H ago| Updated 6H ago)Hi all. I am seeing many grants recently (Congratulations to you all!). A thing common to a lot of them is that the applicants were invited on 7th November, but they applied around 22nd/23rd November. This makes me wonder what is the most common reason for this 15-day gap? Is it PCC or something else? I expect (mostly hope) to get an invite soon. Getting a PCC isn't costly in my country. So I am thinking about keeping it ready. Maybe this way I can avoid long gaps between my invitation and application dates. Anyone has any thoughts on this?

Seems like you got the NSW 190 invitation but you didn't apply? Any reason why?
Good Pick, I wish I knew this and submitted earlier, usually people were gathering documents before submitting the application, if you have the required document by the time of invitation, that will be great, if you don't have some documents like PCC, you can still submit the application and attach the PCC after, which I strongly sugget, rather than get all the doc ready then apply
Thanks for your opinion.
I have the following documents properly scanned and ready. I believe I don't have just the PCC and Medicals. Please let me know do I need anything else?
- Passport Pages
- Birth Certificate
- National ID
- Name Change Documents (both, eGazette Notification and Stamp Paper affidavit)
- Skills Assessment Outcome Letter [positive outcome for both, Highest Relevant Qualification and Relevant Skilled Employment Assessment (RSEA)]
- PTE Test Report
- NAATI CCL Letter
- Payslips and Tax Returns (For proving the period of employment I have the RSEA above)
- Savings Account Statements
- School Certificates and Transcripts/Marksheets
- College Certificates and Transcripts/Marksheets
All documents are in English. Also, no dependent documents since I am single. And enough money for exactly one application xD
I think you have listed all the required documents. For the travel history doc in Visa application, I believe they will ask for a certified copy of all pages in the passport. Just make sure it is certified.
I took PCC already, as I heard some people wait for 6 to 8 weeks, I got mine roughly in 3 weeks.
It was based on several factors: 1. After accepting the NSW pre-invite, I realised that 190 has very long processing times (~ 4x-5x that of 189). 2. My chances to get a 189 invite are high. 3. I'd need to spend application fees for both 190 and 189 (in the future). I don't have that kind of financial resources to be able to bear both (each application is approx. 3-4 months salary to me). I had already spent AUD 330 on the pre-invite which I was never getting back. 4. If I did accept the 190, my EOI would get locked and I cannot receive 189 until the 190 is processed. 5. I eventually removed 190 and 491 in their entirety from my EOI. Had I received and rejected another 190 from any other state, the total rejected invitations would become '2', That means, that EOI would go to waste.
I now know that I should submitted several EOIs in the first place. I guess hindsight is 20/20. So I took a safe gamble (imo). I also took opinions from several people to reach that conclusion.
Fair enough mate. All the best to you for the 189. Hopefully you will get it. Cheers!!!
Thank you!
