Responding to S56 Requests: When responding to an S56, please make sure you follow the steps below:
𝐑𝐞-𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐬 (𝐒𝟓𝟔): After completing your medicals, please wait until the status of each applicant in the Health Assessment section changes to “𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 – 𝐧𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝.” Only once you see this status for all applicants, click the 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦 button to declare that you have provided all the requested documents. *If you click the button before the status is updated, your case officer (CO) may open your file and see that your status is still pending, which could result in delays.
𝐑𝐞-𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐬 + 𝐀𝐅𝐏/𝐏𝐂𝐂/𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐞𝐭𝐜.: Upload all the documents requested. Please do not click it earlier.
𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞 (𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬): Whether or not you have received an S56, and even if your CO has not specifically requested them, if any of your documents (such as AFP, PCC, Polio Certificate, or passport with at least 6 months validity) are close to expiry, please apply for updated versions in advance and upload them to your Immi portal. Do not rely on the myth that you don’t need to update these documents—there is no harm in uploading the latest versions.

Hi everyone,
I'm seeking some advice or insights from anyone familiar with the current trends for the 189 Skilled Independent visa invitations.
I have submitted an EOI as a Secondary School Teacher (ANZSCO 241411) with 85 points, and my points were updated on 15 August 2025. I noticed that there was an invitation round in August, but unfortunately, I didn't receive an invite.
From what I understand, it's possible that my EOI wasn't considered due to the cutoff date being earlier than when my EOI was last updated. I'm now wondering what my chances are for the next invitation round, assuming one happens in the coming months.
If anyone has insights into the following, I’d greatly appreciate it:
What was the cutoff date for the last round?
Are EOIs with 85 points currently competitive for this occupation?
Any trends or estimates on how long the wait might be?
Thanks in advance for your help and best of luck to everyone waiting for an invite!
