I'm exploring applying for Management Consultant 190, points...
@rock (3M ago| Updated 3M ago)I'm exploring applying for Management Consultant 190, points are lowish 80 (75+5 for state). Looking at the January 2025 backlog there are ~ 900 EOI submitted, and looking at received invitations, there are hardly any <60. Realistically, is there any chance for a low score like mine to get an invite (assuming there will always be people with higher scores coming in)?

190 depends on points profile, not just total points.

Could you expand a bit more on 190 depends on points profile vs just points? I assumed say for offshore candidates the invites are sent out purely based on points? Thanks!
Only 189 is based on purely total points. 190 and 491 are state sponsored and state dont just look at total points, they look at English, work experience, partner skills points etc. i.e. they look at points composition

Just saw your profile, it can likely work for 491. But you should really try to get full 10 partner pts and do NAATI (esp for 189), so you are in the game for 190 and 189 too. https://smartvisaguide.com/occupations/224713
